Balloon Towers

The Makerspace option was making Balloon Towers.  They were given balloons and tape and were challenged to make the highest tower possible.  The kids had fun but also were a bit frustrated by this task.  The balloons are hard to work with and kept getting away on them.

The group below figured out a pattern that allowed them to stack their balloons to make the tallest one.  

My least favourite part of this challenge was the popping of the balloons.  Accidently when they were building and then when it was time to clean up.  This was a fun challenge that Mrs. Wasylik came up with for the kids that we will do again.
