Hour of Code

Here is another awesomely easy activity for kids.  Hour of Code is a weeklong activity that occurs during computer science week at the beginning of December each year.  The great thing about this is the website is available all year long so you can do Hour of Code anytime you want.  This is a huge initiative that gives kids access to tutorials on many different kinds of coding languages and they all take about an hour.  As a teacher or librarian, all we need to do is give them the website address and they do the rest!  What a great way to introduce computer coding to our students without having to know anything about coding!  www.code.org
